DESIGN THINKING PROJECT

For the Design Thinking Project, my group (Shantel and Edison) and I decided to create a design for the handicapped restroom stall.

We were moved by an incident that a group member's ex-roommate had experienced. The person had muscular dystrophy, which limited the mobility of her body, particularly her hands. As a result, the person needed assistance even just to push and pull the restroom  stall door.

We decided to create a design where the restroom stall had a button outside the stall that would cause the door to open. Inside the stall, there would be buttons that allow the person using it to lock/unlock the door, as well as close the door.

For the write up, I did make some some revisions. My group and I went over the word limit for the first two sections of the write up, so I edited the text to fit the word count and made it sound more concise.

For the third section, I edited the text to sound more professional, and correctly cited my sources.
